Following up on the cooperation program, the Vice-Rector III held a planning meeting with BTPN Syariah.

International Office – Dr. Khoirul Faizin, Vice Rector III of Universitas Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq (UIN KHAS) Jember, held a follow-up planning meeting for cooperation programs with BTPN Syariah on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM WIB. This meeting is a continuation of the planning for cooperation between UIN KHAS Jember and BTPN Syariah. Representing BTPN Syariah were Mr. Bambang Sutiyono and Mr. Ahmad Fadhillah, while UIN KHAS Jember was led by Vice Rector III Dr. Khoirul Faizin, accompanied by the cooperation services and international office team headed by Dr. Achmad Fathor Rosyid, S.Sos., M.Si., and the Career Development Technical Implementation Unit team headed by Dr. Rusydi Baya'Gub, S.Ag, M.Pd.I.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Khoirul Faizin expressed gratitude to the BTPN Syariah team attending virtually, as well as to the cooperation services and international office team and the Career Development Technical Implementation Unit team present. Dr. Faizin stated that UIN KHAS Jember is delighted with this collaboration, emphasizing that an MoU is merely a piece of paper unless followed up with concrete actions. He conveyed the Rector's hope that the programs they are designing will soon be implemented. Dr. Faizin noted that the university has faculties of Sharia and Islamic Economics and Business, making internships at BTPN Syariah an ideal way to enhance student experience.

Bambang Sutiyono from BTPN Syariah confirmed that the MoU and Cooperation Agreement documents discussed in the previous meeting had been received and signed by the leadership of BTPN Syariah and would soon be sent to UIN KHAS Jember for further action. He expressed hope that the cooperation could be realized promptly.

Ahmad Fadhillah from BTPN Syariah announced that BTPN Syariah is ready to establish the collaboration. He highlighted that programs such as independent internships and MBKM internships are ready for execution. BTPN Syariah plans to offer a non-MBKM internship track, in addition to the existing MBKM track, which has been successfully implemented. This non-MBKM internship offers more flexibility, with periods of 2, 3, or 4 months, allowing students to choose the duration that best suits them. BTPN Syariah aims to provide students with valuable experience and education, with opportunities to become young mentors or even pursue careers at BTPN Syariah after their internships. Ahmad Fadhillah reiterated BTPN Syariah's commitment to this collaboration and hoped for its swift implementation.

Dr. Rusydi Baya'Gub, S.Ag, M.Pd.I., Head of the Career Development Technical Implementation Unit, mentioned that student recruitment for internships at BTPN Syariah had already begun. However, he emphasized the need for further planning regarding the internship duration, timing, and implementation to ensure smooth dissemination to faculties and students.

Dr. Achmad Fathor Rosyid, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the Cooperation Services and International Office, expressed his enthusiasm for BTPN Syariah's internship and KKN offerings. He assured that the cooperation services team would follow up on the MoU and Cooperation Agreement documents to ensure the collaboration is formally protected. He hoped the planned programs would run smoothly and evolve into other beneficial initiatives for both parties.

The event continued with program presentations, a Q&A session, discussions on the planned programs, and concluded with a prayer. (Author: NEA, Editor: MA/MDA)
