Ombudsman RI Partners with UIN KHAS Jember's Faculty of Sharia: A Step Toward Public Service Excellence
International Office – On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the Deputy Chair of the Ombudsman of Indonesia, Ir. Bobby Hamzar Rafinus, MIA, accompanied by the Head of the East Java Ombudsman Representative, Agus Muttaqin, S.H., and their team, visited UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, specifically the Faculty of Sharia, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ombudsman and UIN KHAS Jember.
Deputy Chair Ir. Bobby Hamzar Rafinus and his team were warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at UIN KHAS Jember, Dr. Wildani Hefni, along with other faculty leaders, including Vice Dean I Dr. Busriyanti, M.Ag., Vice Dean II Dr. Martoyo, Vice Dean III Dr. Ahmadiono, and representatives from the university’s central office for cooperation and international affairs, Mochammad Arif Maschun Sofwan, Lc., MA., and Dr. Nanda Eska Nasution, M.Pd., also present study program coordinator of Constitutional Law, Sholikhul Hadi, MH., study program coordinator of Family Law, Inayatul Anisah, M. Hum., study program coordinator of Sharia Economic Law, Fredy Hidayat, MH., as well as other faculty members and lecturers from the Faculty of Sharia at UIN KHAS Jember.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Wildani Hefni expressed his appreciation for the visit from the Deputy Chair of the Ombudsman and his team. He emphasized how valuable this occasion was for the faculty and especially for the students, who stand to gain a wealth of knowledge in public service oversight. The Faculty of Sharia is committed to preparing graduates who can work across various governmental sectors, particularly in the field of law. This MoU with the Ombudsman, along with the public lecture that follows, is hoped to open doors and inspire students to chase their dreams and aspirations.
Dr. Fathor Rosyid, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the International Office, underscored the importance of this collaboration with the Ombudsman of Indonesia. The Ombudsman is a nation institution with the authority to oversee public service implementation, and UIN KHAS Jember is proud to partner with such an important body. It is hoped that this cooperation will bring numerous benefits, especially to the students as they continue to pursue their academic endeavors.
The signing of the MoU signals the start of a partnership expected to make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge at the Faculty of Sharia, UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember.
