Signing of MoU with Telkomsel, Rector Aims to Foster Ongoing Mutual Symbiosis
International Office – Rector of Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University (UIN KHAS) Jember welcomed a delegation from PT. Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Rectorate Building. The purpose of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and discussions about ongoing and future collaboration between UIN KHAS Jember and Telkomsel.
The MoU was signed by UIN KHAS Jember's Rector, Prof. Hepni, and Telkomsel’s General Manager for the Java and Bali regions, Andrew Mamahit. The agreement focuses on collaboration in curriculum development and industry-based learning, certified internship programs, preferential hiring of top graduates, guest lectures, and various other activities within the university’s tri dharma (three principles) and institutional quality improvement.
Accompanying the Rector were Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. M. Khusna Amal, S.Ag., M.Si., Vice Rector II, Dr. Drs. H. Ainur Rafik, M.Ag., Vice Rector III, Dr. Khoirul Faizin, M.Ag., Head of Internal Audit Force, Dr. Retna Anggitaningsih, S.E., M.M., Head of Career Development Unit, Dr. Rusydi Bayagub, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., Head of TIPD Unit, Dr. Subakri, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., Head of the Cooperation and International Office, Dr. Achmad Fathor Rosyid, S.Sos., M.Si., and other staff of UIN KHAS Jember.
The Telkomsel delegation, led by General Manager Andrew Mamahit, included Eko Prasetyo, General Manager of Region Network Operations and Productivity for East Java, Indra Dwi Hariadi, Manager of Youth Community and Lifestyle GTM for Java-Bali, Indrajit Alamsyah, Rahadian Yusuf Dhuha, Embun Purbo Romynto, Ferdinand Yohannis Markus, Syafrizal Rahardian, and other Telkomsel team members.
In his remarks, Andrew Mamahit emphasized Telkomsel's commitment to continuing the collaboration with UIN KHAS Jember under the new MoU. He expressed Telkomsel’s readiness to support UIN KHAS Jember in producing high-quality graduates through various initiatives such as providing internship opportunities, offering Learning Management System (LMS) services, student training, guest lectures, and other areas where Telkomsel can contribute. He hopes the collaboration between Telkomsel and UIN KHAS Jember will continue to strengthen and bring mutual benefits.
Prof. Hepni expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Telkomsel, noting that UIN KHAS Jember relies on the fast internet and data services for teaching, learning, research, and community service activities. He stated that the collaboration between UIN KHAS Jember and Telkomsel has been ongoing, particularly in career-related areas. With the signing of this MoU, the university is committed to renewing its efforts to create mutual benefits for both parties.
Dr. Fathor Rosyid, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the Cooperation and International Office, highlighted the successful collaboration with Telkomsel over the years, stating that the renewal of the MoU is a tangible step towards realizing UIN KHAS Jember's Dasa Cita. He noted that Telkomsel's services have been crucial in supporting the university’s tri dharma, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when online learning was essential. He hopes that the planned collaborative initiatives can be realized soon with the signing of this MoU.
